InterVET: Enhancing the Internationalization and Erasmus participation in VET Schools through staff training
The InterVET project aims to address the need for enhanced internationalization in Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools. It is driven by the challenges of globalization such as migration, climate change, and inequality, and seeks to prepare educators and students for a diverse, globalized world. By promoting cultural understanding, empathy, and cooperation, InterVET aims to break down barriers and build bridges between cultures. The project aspires to transform VET schools into hubs for global learning and intercultural exchange, ensuring that students and educators have the skills to understand, respect, and value diversity.
Objectives of the project
The objectives of the project are the following:
- Enhance VET educators’ skills in internationalization.
- Strengthen understanding of intercultural competencies.
- Foster collaboration among educators from different countries to support the creation of internationalization offices within schools.
- Increase VET schools’ involvement in various EU programs.
- Provide students with an enriched learning experience through diverse internationalization opportunities and innovative teaching approaches.
Expected Main Results
- A comprehensive internationalization strategy developed for VET schools.
- A network established, connecting VET staff with internationalization specialists.
- An online curriculum and MOOC platform created for VET managers.
- Improved operational skills of International Officers through a targeted training program.
- Pilot International Offices established in multiple countries.
- Practical international experience gained by VET staff through job shadowing mobility activities.
- Expanded participation of VET institutions in EU programs.
- Strengthened global competence and enhanced international engagement.
Main Activities:
- Deliver training programs to upskill VET staff on internationalization.
- Develop customized Internationalization Roadmaps for each VET institution.
- Set up and operationalize International Offices within VET schools.
- Develop and launch a MOOC platform for VET managers.
- Implement VET staff mobility programs to gain international experience.
- Engage stakeholders and build a network of VET staff and internationalization experts.
- Conduct outreach events as part of the dissemination strategy.
