Objectives of the project

• Strengthen AI literacy, critical thinking, and media literacy skills among young people
  Addressed through the updated VirtuallyEDU 2.0 Curriculum and the implementation of Virtual Exchange Labs (WP2 and WP3). Activities such as collaborative learning sessions, debates, and problem-solving tasks will allow youth to critically examine AI-driven content, build resilience against manipulation, and strengthen digital citizenship.
• Develop and implement the VirtuallyEDU 2.0 Curriculum and AI4Youth Educator Toolkit: Achieved through an iterative co-creation process involving all partners (WP2). The curriculum and toolkit will provide structured educational pathways, ensuring that youth and facilitators have access to high-quality, relevant, and up-to-date learning resources on ethical AI use, data rights, and civic engagement.
• Build the capacity of educators, youth workers, and facilitators to moderate virtual exchanges focused on AI ethics and digital citizenship:
  Delivered through the Train-the-Trainer programme (WP2), equipping facilitators with methodological technical, and intercultural competences needed to successfully moderate online discussions and support youth learning journeys.
• Promote active youth participation in democratic digital life through civic engagement and advocacy initiatives:
  Implemented via youth-led activities such as the creation of the Youth AI Rights Manifesto and digital advocacy campaigns (WP4). This ensures that knowledge acquired during  exchanges translates into realworld civic action and democratic empowerment.
• Foster inclusion and ensure participation of young people with fewer opportunities:
  Embedded in all project components through inclusive recruitment strategies, preparatory support sessions, mentoring, and adaptive learning materials. Special attention will be given to reaching youth from rural areas, economically disadvantaged backgrounds, conflict-affected communities, and other underrepresented groups.
• Promote cross-border cooperation and networking between youth from EU Member States and third countries on ethical digital futures:
  Realized through the structure of international Virtual Exchange Labs, cross-border youth collaboration projects, and networking events engaging participants from different countries and sectors.
• Raise awareness about ethical AI and digital rights through large-scale communication and dissemination activities:
  Supported by a comprehensive dissemination strategy (WP5), including awareness campaigns, public engagement activities, online content production, and open-access publication of educational resources in multiple languages.

Expected Results

• integration of AI literacy, algorithmic bias awareness, and ethical digital citizenship into Virtual Exchange activities targeting youth from EU and Neighbourhood East countries.
• Connect young people and educators from the EU, Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia to collaboratively tackle issues of digital fairness, democratic resilience, and responsible AI use.
• Creation of fully virtual, high-quality intercultural learning environments accessible to disadvantaged youth who are unable to participate in physical mobility schemes.
• Promotion of an intercultural, interdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral approach by involving students, youth workers, HEI staff, and civic society actors in a shared learning process on AI ethics and digital rights.

Objectives of the Project

The general objective of BUILDS is to accelerate upskilling and reskilling for the construction sector’s workforce, targeting low-skilled workers, current employees requiring new competences, and workers transitioning from other sectors.

The project combines strengthened regional skills governance, enhanced skills intelligence and forecasting, and innovative training offers, while promoting inclusion, regional cohesion and the use of EU tools such as ESCO, DigComp, GreenComp and European Digital Credentials for Learning.

• Specific Objective 1 (SO1): Develop regional governance structures, namely Regional Pact for Skills Hubs, bringing together relevant stakeholders and supporting ongoing coordination and cooperation.
• Specific Objective 2 (SO2): Develop and pilot a practical Skills Intelligence Toolkit for identifying emerging green and digital skills needs at local and regional level in the construction sector, combining labour market data with stakeholder insights and EU frameworks.
• Specific Objective 3 (SO3): Support SMEs in reskilling and upskilling through modular, microcredential-certified training portfolios targeting adult learners, including low-skilled workers, in-transition construction employees and career changers.
