ADULT EDUCATION 4.0
The project aims to improve the digital readiness and competences for staff working in adult education, providing them with methodologies and tools to manage the challenges occurring by the changed digital working conditions (e.g. online trainings, digital consultations). In addition, the project intends to provide an upskilling opportunity that can be used and followed by other adult education centres, proving its sustainability and building bridges for cooperation and mutual growth in the sector, promoting digital readiness, capacity and competence for the adult education staff and better adult education opportunities for the consumers.
Objectives of the project
This project the consortium intends:
(a) To build synergies and bridges between adult education institutes to foster collaboration, exchange of good practices, peer-learning and support for educational consultants, training-, and office-assistants.
(b) To create upskilling opportunities for staff in adult education concerning their communication techniques, their competence in assessment and understanding of the standing point of a learner, to grow their capacity of motivating learners in difficult situations as well as to address issues linked to tele-working and digital communication.
(c) To address digital transformation for adult education centres, regardless of their size and focus points and to accelerate their digital development. Through the creation of a best-practice and a methodology handbook and mostly, through a proper dissemination of the project and its objectives, the consortium expects to reach adult education centres and help them implement the new, digital work as easily as possible, giving them a guideline and hints that they can follow.
Expected Results
After the project’s end, the people that have participated will have created digital competence and understanding which will be spread in the own organisation enhancing digital transformation and working as a multiplicator in the own organisation promoting the digital transformation. Moreover, by creation of booklets and guides, the project results and experiences will be disseminated even further to other organisations and stakeholders.
Project Activities
For the accomplishment of the project’s purposes, the partnership intends to plan, design and implement workshops for different types of adult education staff (counsellors, educators, administrative staff) upskilling them in a hands-on training to deal with the new work demands and expectations. Through collaboration, peer-learning and exchange the staff will be unskilled in topics relevant to their daily work and will become more familiar with digital formats and communications.
More specifically, the project activities entail the following;
- Project Management and Coordination
- Workshop Preparation
- Workshop Implementation
- Evaluation and Outputs
- Community building
