DIVERSITe
DIVERSITe is a timely and innovative project focused on diversity management in enterprises, a topic of emerging importance for businesses in all Member States. The project aims to provide bespoke, on-demand and accessible learning content to managers and employees through interactive infographics presented in the DIVERSITe e-Zines.
The main innovation in the DIVERSITe project is the use of interactive infographics as key access points to the e-Zine curriculum. The infographics for managers and employees work as innovative pedagogic tools to engage both target groups in initial education on the topic of diversity management. Additionally, the project encourages employees to get involved in co-designing the diversity management plan with their employer, ensuring an ethos of inclusivity throughout the DIVERSITe education model.
Objectives of the project
DIVERSITe will develop unique work-based learning resources that bring agile and accessible VET materials to business owners, managers, and employees. Through DIVERSITe, our intention is to develop a suite of e-Zines and infographics that contain complete learning courses that can be accessed on a smartphone. Through delivering these resources, and investing in the CPD of VET professionals, our intention is to make VET more flexible and responsive to labour market needs for diversity training.
Expected Results
DIVERSITe will develop 3 interconnected results:
- One Continuing Professional Development training to support Vocational Education and Training professionals to update their knowledge on what diversity in the workplace means, how it can be managed and why it is beneficial to businesses and employees; as well as to update their digital and pedagogic skills;
- One toolkit of 13 infographics and e-Zines, which will constitute the core diversity management educational intervention in this project;
- One MOOC platform which will host 80 national Open Educational Resources and all results.
Project Activities
- Professional Development of VET Professionals on diversity in the workplace, as well as their digital and pedagogical skills to better support members of the business community;
- Development of Smartphone Learning Resources for Business Owners, Managers, and Employees containing a set of interactive resources to support the implementation of a business’s diversity strategies;
- Creation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) including all project results as open educational resources, through which businesses and VET providers can gain knowledge on the topic of diversity management.
