Enroll in the Women in Tech MOOC
MEMO
MEMO Project emphasizes on the Pan-European need for attracting women 45+, offering them up-to-date training in the digital sphere. In addition, the project seeks to promote diversity and inclusivity towards the technological development of professionals over 45 years old. Therefore, the project encourages politicians, VET providers and all other interest groups to recognize the needs of older women, who would like to enter the modern tech workplace.
Objectives of the project
The project aims to:
- To raise awareness of the advantages and benefits of STEM
- To endorse women that engage with tech professions
- To inspire people (with a focus on the ageing population) to engage with new technologies
- To show job opportunities and learning paths for upskilling older women in order to be competitive in the labour market
Expected Results
The project results entail the following:
- Ten interviews with older women from different nations who are successful professionals in the STEM sector. The interviews will be video edited and then made available as Open Educational Resources via YouTube.
- Free interactive online course that inspires people to engage with new technologies, even at an advanced age, to open up new job opportunities where appropriate. There will be no restrictions on access. All interested people can participate. First, there will be a live MOOC in spring 2023 as a fun happening. Afterwards, the course will live online on demand for all those who want to have a look.
- A women network through the course and beyond to share long-term ideas on LinkedIn or similar, and in turn inspire each other.
