We are excited to announce the launch of our END GBV in VET Ambassadors Initiative, and we would like to invite you to be a part of it!

The END GBV in VET project aims to tackle gender-based violence in vocational education and training by providing training to interested students, teachers/ staff, and parents to better address GBV, and to offer support and consultations through full service offices on campus. AKMI is participating in this project along with VET Institutes and experts from Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovakia, and Spain. In this regard, we are inviting students and all interested people to take part in the END GBV in VET Ambassadors Alliance.

As an END GBV in VET Student Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-day online training workshop. After the completion of the online training, you will also have opportunities to get involved in more project activities; indicatively, to assist at the END GBV Pilot Office and/ or the Pilot Portal and to advocate on a “free of GBV VET” and further communicate the issue through posts/articles and consultations.

The role is incredibly varied, which gives you a range of opportunities to enhance your personal development.

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed VET students to become ambassadors for the END GBV in VET project. As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in your school community by advocating for respect and non-violence. Here are the key characteristics and requirements we are looking for:

Currently enrolled in a VET program

Over 18 years old

Willing to participate in the END GBV training

Willing to participate in advocacy activities

Available to support the activities of the END GBV in VET office and/or the online portal that will be established in the VET Institute in Spring 2024. (Participation in the Office/ Portal Activities is not mandatory; Student Ambassadors will participate voluntarily based on their availability).

Desirable: Previous civic engagement experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact and become part of a team that is dedicated to ending Gender Based Violence in VET. As an Ambassador, you will be actively involved in our END GBV in VET project and training sessions, and we are excited to have you on board.

If you are interested in becoming an END GBV in VET Student Ambassador, you can register HERE.
