During the presentation, the educators were captivated by the cutting-edge iReveal platform and its potential for social innovation. "Let Your Skill Make the Difference" Reveal Stakeholders' Seminar

The Reveal Stakeholders Seminar was successfully held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, bringing together over 30 participants from the education sector, businesses, and vulnerable social groups. This event took place in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, in hybrid form, with the aim of fostering collaboration and empowering individuals to unlock their hidden skills.

The seminar provided an excellent platform for participants to introduce themselves and engage with the innovative iREVEAL platform. Developed to facilitate skill recognition, the iREVEAL platform offers a user-friendly online tool that enables individuals to request endorsements for their soft skills and create online personal skill clouds.

During the event, the project partners tried to shed light on the significance of acknowledging skills acquired outside the formal education system.

“When you learn at school, you receive a diploma. However, for the skills gained in everyday life, there is no diploma. Badges have been invented to make this type of informal learning visible.”

The thought-provoking words resonated with the audience was very interested in emphasizing the importance of recognizing and valuing skills obtained through real-life experiences.

Moreover, during the seminar the potential of local initiatives to transcend geographical boundaries was highlighted.  

“Something can be created locally and be made visible beyond the local community, at EU level… at international level…”

This exciting perspective showcased the vast opportunities that lie within the Reveal project and the iREVEAL platform.

The seminar also included an interactive session during which the participants had the chance to register to the iREVEAL platform, ask for endorsements for their skills from their peers and create their own skills clouds.

The Reveal Stakeholders Seminar served as a catalyst for the formation of a vibrant local community that will actively contribute to the unveiling of individual talents and skills. By harnessing the power of the iREVEAL platform, participants can tap into a supportive network that nurtures personal growth and professional development.

We are delighted to announce that AKMI will be participating in the online stakeholder session “Let Your Skill Make the Difference” that will be held on May 8th in Novo Mesto, Slovenia and will also support online participation.

The session is taking place in the framework of the erasmus+ project “REVEAL – Recognition of Experience Validation of Experience, Achievements and Learning”. The session aims to create an inclusive and collaborative environment where all participants can learn from each other and enhance their skills. 

In a world where skills play a crucial role in defining success, we believe that by honing our strengths, we can achieve greater heights. That is why the session will include a SWOT analysis during which participants will have the chance to evaluate their skills and receive feedback on how to enhance them. During the session, participants will have the opportunity to register and use the iREVEAL platform, to showcase their strengths, identify areas of improvement, and receive valuable feedback from experts in the field.

The session will take place on May 8th, 12:00 – 14:00 CET, and anyone who is interested can participate online.

From 28th June 2022 till 1st of July 2022, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) successfully organized a FOODI Info Day & Expert Workshop in Thailand. The Convenor of the FOODI Info Day was Prof. Anil Kumar Anal from AIT and representatives from all partners from Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Italy, Ireland and Greece participated

During the first day of the FOODI Info Day & Expert Workshop, a Project Steering Committee Meeting took place, where partners had a project briefing of all work packages activities, including dissemination ana finances and a brainstorming session for the effective development of the project reports as the project moves forward with its final activities. After the Steering Committee Meeting, the partners had the opportunity to visit the Asian Institute of Technology and AIT’s Biotechnology Lab.

On the second and third day, the Expert Workshops took place. A total of 71 participants attended the workshop, with the participation of all consortium partners, university faculty and postgraduate, undergraduate and PhD Students. The workshop also had the honor to host his Excellency the First Counsellor of the EU Delegation in Thailand, Mr. Laurent Lourdais.

The two-day workshop included a considerable number of esteemed speakers with varying topics, including:

Dr. Michelle Miccio, Associate Professor, University of Salerno, Italy: “Route to a more Thorough Valorization of Agro- Industrial Wastes”

Dr. Warapa Mahakarnchanakul, Director of Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute (KURDI) Thailand: “Control and Prevention of Mycotoxins in Agriculture and Food Commodities in Thailand”.

Dr. Atikorn Panya, Research Team Leader Food Biotechnology Research Team, Food and Feed Innovation Center (FFIC) National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) Thailand Science Park: “BIOTEC Research and Development Directions and Opportunities for Multidisciplinary Food Innovation”.

Prof. Ramesh T. Subramaniam, Professor Department of Physics Faculty of Science University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia: “Nanoparticles in Food Packaging Systems”.

Dr. Marco Garcia-Vaquero, Assistant Professor, University of College London (UCD) Ireland: “Challenges and Opportunities of seaweeds as emerging future foods”.

Dr. Takuji W. Tsusaka, Assistant Professor, Department of Development and Sustainability, AIT, Thailand: “Food Value Chain and Sustainable Development Goals”.

Dr. Tay Zar Aye Cho, Research Scientist Charoen Pokphand (CP) Foods, Thailand: “Precision Nutrition and Health”.

Under the project WIFI, Women in the film industry, ambitious women from various backgrounds, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Cyprus, Portugal and Romania met together in Virginia of Ireland to discuss about the fears and stigmas of women traveling alone in foreign countries.

In a three days LTTA they managed to create a short film named as “WIFI lost”.

“DigiGreen Post” – Towards a more digital and greener Postal Era  is the upcoming VET programme, funded by EACEA (europa.eu),  aiming to to bring resilience to the postal industry through the provision of upskilling for postal employees in green and digital competence areas, acting as an enabler towards the implementation of digital and green policy agendas, building the understanding of the importance of digital and green-related jobs throughout the sector.

AKMI SA, leads a strong and wide consortium of 13 partners which represent all the related sectors to the topic; Education Providers, Sectoral representatives, SMEs, Accreditation Body and two umbrella professional associations active in the postal sector and VET.

We expect a great deal of activities during the next 3 years, starting on September’s 1st.
