DigiUp
DigiUp project aims to close the gap between policy and practice account in DigCompEdu and DigComp 2.1 with the main objective to foster digital and soft skills and pursue career opportunities through the respective implementation of virtual exchanges projects as an intercultural way for connecting people achieving one of the main EU goals for “no-one left behind”. Based on the above, the general objective of DigiUp project, can be summarized below: “In DigiUp we are aiming to connect higher education students, academic staff and young people from Europe and Sub-Saharan countries through well-established virtual activities for development/acquisition/application of both digital and soft skills so as to increase career opportunities and moving forward in 21st century skills needed among young people.”
Objectives of the project
1. Development and integration of digital skills specific disciplines and subject areas in higher education
2. Fostering the use of ICT tools in order to bridge communication gaps and enhancement of foreign language learning
3. Engagement in raising awareness Virtual Exchanges at the institutional and policy-making level
4. Upskilling of the learning and teaching experience through the wide use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and introduction of the micro-credentials to the learners
Expected Results
1. Promoting the Virtual Exchanges to educational institutions and their staff as a way for internationalization and interculturality
2. Creating a more collaborative environment among educators and leaners
3. Integrating of cutting-edge technology into education and up/reskilling digital skills for educators of HEIs
4. Improvement of the connection between labor market and students
5. Fostering understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity as well as intercultural competences and skills
6. Bridging communication gaps by establishing foreign language learning
7. Fostering innovation practices of the higher education sector
8. Promoting international and inclusive connected HEIs and replanning the education system of 21st century
