GreenBuildEd
The GreenBuildEd project responds to the urgent need for energy-efficient and zero-emission construction. GreenBuildEd addresses the growing demand for Zero-Energy Buildings (ZEBs) by equipping VET students and educators with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills in sustainable building design, energy efficiency, and decarbonization strategies. The project integrates cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) into VET curricula, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications while enhancing the attractiveness and relevance of vocational education. In alignment with EU climate and education priorities, GreenBuildEd also extends support to Ukrainian VET systems, introducing ZEB concepts and skills to aid in sustainable reconstruction efforts—reflecting OECD recommendations for inclusive, work-based learning. By fostering collaboration between VET institutions, industry, and innovation stakeholders, GreenBuildEd aims to build a new generation of construction professionals capable of leading Europe’s transition toward energy-efficient, low-carbon, and sustainable built environments. |
