InSupport
InSupport aims to enhance the protection and support available to victims and survivors of sexual violence in Greece. It addresses several critical gaps, including the need for more targeted and gender-sensitive training for law enforcement and frontline professionals, limited interagency cooperation, and the absence of effective referral and operational procedures tailored to the needs of sexual violence survivors. The project also seeks to respond to the lack of holistic and specialized support services for women and girls who have experienced sexual violence, as well as the limited awareness among survivors about their rights and the support systems available to them.
• Enhance interagency cooperation in supporting victims of sexual violence through the establishment of a coordinated interagency response mechanism.
• Improve victim response and support procedures for law enforcement and frontline services by developing gender-sensitive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strengthen the skills of at least 1,320 professionals (law enforcement and frontline staff) through targeted capacity-building activities focused on sexual violence, rape, and gender-sensitive victim support.
• Increase awareness and access to information for women victim-survivors of sexual violence or rape—including those facing intersectional discrimination—by developing a mobile application that informs them of their rights and available support services
