- Benefit artisan baking in the mind-set of both new and future baker professionals as well as VET educators.
- Redefine the role of new baker professionals in the food waste chain, giving them skills for becoming “green” agents in their work environment
- Provide scientific knowledge to the new baker professionals related to how the materials can impact the nutritional value of the bread products.
- Re-enforce the learning of the new baker professionals by creating a live community among them at local, regional and European level and by using experiential learning.
- Raise “green” awareness among VET institutions and educators and infuse sustainability in their curricula and teaching.
- Offer VET educators and learners a common online platform that will promote digital literacy and will align a common path for the professionals, the market, and the consumers.
- Impact the habits of the consumers and raise “green” consciousness.
Objectives of the project

Expected Results
- PR1: Curriculum Framework, for baker learners, recently graduated or present students, focusing on bread quality improvement, food waste prevention in artisan settings and consumers outreach.
- PR2: Online Platform: It will include the training curriculum and be available for those involved in artisan baking within an attractive, accessible, multimedia, interactive and learner-centered platform. It will engage minimum 84 participants.
- PR3: Handbook (E-book) for VET providers and educators of the sector to enable them to support a “greener” transition (recommendations for adapting course and e-book of IO1 in VET Institutions and courses, how to develop sustainability competences of educators, recommendations for avoiding food waste, etc.). It will be disseminated widely, engaging at least 70 participants working in different institutions.
Project Activities
A) Development of the project’s visual identity.
B) Project website created with information about the project objectives, partners, funders & provide easy access to the outputs provision for stakeholders, participation at events representing the project.
C) Project e-leaflet including the project overview, objectives, partners and funding agency, upcoming project activities and their relevance for educators, VET institutions and stakeholders.
D) Social Media page for the Re-Breading project, integrating it into the project’s website and create a posting schedule to be agreed with all partners.
E) 3 press releases and 3 newsletters on important milestones of the project.
