VET Marketplace
VET Marketplace is a project funded by the European Union under KA220-VET – Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training, which aims to adapt VET curricula in graphic design and web development to the needs of the labour market while revolutionising the way VET is practised by creating a link between VET and industry through a digital VET Marketplace connecting students and SMEs for the delivery of project-based assessments.
The VET Marketplace offers a practical solution to the skills mismatch and provides students with hands-on experience that gives them skills that are immediately applicable in the labour market.
The VET Marketplace project is realised through a strategic partnership between European organisations in six different countries (Poland, Greece, Germany, Italy and Belgium), mainly composed of education providers.
Specific objectives of the project
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
- To create a modern VET environment, based on student-centre approaches
- To enhance employability of students
- To adapt Curricula, in the fields of Graphic Design and Web Development, to the industry needs
- To enhance Collaboration Between VET Institutions and SMEs
- To empower Trainers and Employers as Mentors
- To provide opportunities to SMEs, that may face challenges, in accessing specialised skills
