VETCompass
The VETCompass project is pioneering in addressing the critical gap in Vocational Education and Training (VET) by focusing on essential skills necessary for VET Teachers to prepare students for the evolving labor market. It aims to create a comprehensive framework for assessing digital, pedagogical, and soft skills, equipping VET institutions with tools to enhance staff professional development. By evaluating and fostering these skills, the project seeks to revolutionize the effectiveness and attractiveness of VET education in Europe. Its innovative approach aims to advance VET quality and attractiveness through the identification and cultivation of these vital skills.
Objectives of the project
- Identification of the necessary transversal skills of VET Teachers/Trainers/Staff
Assessment of European VET Teacher’s Transversal Skills
Enhancing VET attractiveness by aligning teachers’ skills with today’s imperatives in the field of VET Education
Empower VET educators targeted continuous professional development with tools and resources
Expected Results
The implementation of the project will lead to the following results:
- Framework for the transversal skill assessment of VET Teachers/Trainers/Staff
- State-of-the-art, game-based transversal skill assessment tool
- Transnational Report on European VET Teachers/Trainers/Staff Transversal Skills
- Toolbox Library with 50 targeted tools and resources for the development of VET educators’ transversal skills
- Roadmap that will support VET Institutions to adopt policies and exploit the VETCompass PRs for the continuous professional development of their staff
